Hi Everyone,
Are we having July in September? I have lived here for over 36 years, and have never seen a September like this. We have broken 100 degrees 4 times this month, we broke 90 on the first 22 days of the month (On top of the last 4 days of August), and almost every day last week, we broke or tied a record for that day. But, right on cue, the first day of Fall, we have cooled off to comfortable. (By the way, please excuse the erroneous lines below, if they show up–I can’t seem to delete them).
This Sunday, I will be performing three of my original songs at our CSLN Service, with their great House Band. It’s been a while, so I am really looking forward to it. The service starts with the music right at 10:30, followed by Rev. John Adams, whose talks are always both inspiration and down to earth and authentic. This weeks’s talk is “Healing Magic.” 160 Belle Forest Circle, Nashville, 37221.
And on Friday, Oct. 2nd we will be having our CSLN Coffeehouse, and I will be one of the three Spotlight Performers doing a 25 minute set there. I am in great company–the other two performers are Dana Cooper (I have heard his name for years, but never seen him perform) and Gary Gullbergh, whose music is as unique as it is captivating.
6 P.M. Open Mic Sign Up–7 slots available.
6:30 – 7 P.M. Open Mic: Original songs, poems, stand up comedy, short stories. One presentation per performer, up to 5 minutes
7 P.M., 7:30, 8 P.M. Spotlight Performers (I don’t have the order at this time).
